Health and Safety
At Kangaroo castles we pride our self in offering a safe service. As with any other leisure industry its important that the right safety measures are in place.
- All of our equipment is subject to an annual safety test.
- Our bouncy castles are tested annually by the leading organisations associated to bouncy castles - PIPA. This ensures that the equipment goes under rigorous inspection to ensure that it is safe. Testing annually means that as castles go through more wear through use that it still safe to use.
- All electrical equipment - Extension leads and bouncy castles blowers also go through their annual PAT testing certificate.
- We ensure that there is a minimum of 1.3 metres of space around a bouncy castle to comply with HSE regulations and safe practice.
- Crash mats are used around a bouncy castle , on hard standing ground they will cover all areas where users exit a bouncy castle.
Wind Speed regulations
Tragically there has been isolated incidents of bouncy castles taking off in high winds. We stake all our anchor points with long stakes that must peg into the ground. On hard standing hires outdoors we drill into the ground using washers and thunderbolts to ensure the bouncy castles are properly anchored. Sandbags are only permitted to be used indoors where there is no wind - not on outdoor hires.
We DO NOT hire out in high winds. The maximum permitted wind gust speed is 24mph as per health and safety regulations. We will not risk the safety of our customers for the sake of making money. If the wind is forecast too high the evening before hires we will postpone all hires to a future date. In this instance we understand the disappointment it may cause but were sure you can understand.
Al customers are given are guide on safe use of the equipment on set up.
Be sure when using Kangaroo Castles you are with a professional company and that your in safe hands with customers safety at the forefoot of our practice
